I have just returned from a wonderful trip to Morocco, hosted by Visit Morocco. We were able to visit lots of historical sites and witness the local culture of Casablanca, Rabat & Tangiers.
The first hotel we arrived at was the Barcelo Casablanca. The hotel was elegantly decorated, and it was carried out throughout. The rooms were absolutely stunning, very Modern, and had all the amenities you could wish for.
After breakfast, we headed over a tour of Casablanca, and we visited the biggest Mosque I have ever seen, the Hassen II; the inside was incredible with so much detail.
We then took a coach to Rabat, which is a beautiful city with a walled Medina and cobbled streets. That evening we stayed at the 5* View hotel. As we walked in, the smell of fresh flowers hit us in the beautiful lobby. I was then taken to my room and, yet again a truly stunning room with a view over the city.
In the morning, we headed to the train station to take the bullet train to Tangier. This is a great way to travel as you get to see the scenery.
Tangiers was by far my favourite city. We could wander the narrow cobbled streets with lots of stalls and local crafts being made in the workshops, which was very eye-opening. That night we got to stay at the Fairmount Tazi Palace Tangier, which had only opened the day before. WOW just WOW!
Walking in the high ceilings and decor takes your breath away. My room was so elegant, with the decor, colours and fabrics used just oozing elegance. That evening we dined at the Fairmont, and the food was just WOW and outstaying! This hotel is what I would call the ultimate luxury experience. It has a 3-floor spa, fitness centre, and outdoor pool. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and they made you genuinely welcome.
